Childcare
- When an application is sent to an overseas office a letter is sent to you explaining how to do a telephone interview, how to promote yourself and giving suggestions for questions to ask.
- Our overseas office checks out all families – these are secure placements.
- The overseas office does their best to match you with a family where they feel you will fit in.
- In the main, you are given information about the family interested in you, prior to speaking them.
- If anything needs to be negotiated between yourself and the overseas party JCR does this on your behalf.
- JCR ensures that an agreement is drawn up between yourself and the host family which states rate of pay, hours to be worked etc. This means that should any issues arise everything originally agreed is documented.
- JCR makes sure that the overseas office knows your arrival date and time and that you will be met at the airport by the family or their representative.
- JCR provides contact details of the overseas office and who will be there for you the entire time you are with your host family.
- Prior to departure, for all childcare applicants, JCR provides via email a booklet to fully prepare you to cope with homesickness, culture shock, fitting in with your host family and their children, how things are done in the host country and a childcare booklet providing information about childcare development from birth to 12 yrs.
- The overseas office provides names and phone numbers of other aupairs/nannies in the area.
- The overseas office is available at all times to help if issues arise and you need help to resolve them.
- The overseas office will step in immediately if there is any threat to you in any form.
- The overseas office will move you to another host family if things really do not work out and cannot be resolved.
All Programs
- JCR provides information regarding the visa application together with all necessary visa documents from overseas, that will be required for the application.
