Dear Sybil, Aupair USA Just wanted to let you now that I have arrived in America. It was a long journey but I finally got here. I have been set up in an apartment not about 1/2 hr drive from the family. Just wanted to say Thank you again for all your help and guidence in helping me get here.

Best Regards    Joanne

Hello Sybil
How are you?
A few years ago, i had a lot of dealings with you while you were helping me make my decision to become an aupair in the USA. I was very hesitant about the programme and also very nervous about going to a new country for such a long period of time, but you assured me it would a great experience and you were right!
Three and half years later (i extended my stay after my aupair stay) i have returned to Australia, having had one the greatest experiences of my life, and a journey that i will always be so thankful i took. I just wanted to say a quick thank you to you, as if it wasn’t for you and your guidance i probably would have never have gone through with it.
I was matched with an amazing family in New Jersey, taking care of two boys, they welcomed me into their home from day one and after living with them for two years, i think of them as family. It is very hard now to be so far away from them, but i have made a bond with them that will last a lifetime and i will always have a home in the US, if i plan to go back to visit. I met so many people some of whom i now consider to be some of my closest friends...
So overall, my Aupair experience will always hold a special place in my heart! Thankyou. Leah

I have been in The States for a month now so I thought I should write to you both to let you know USAhow I've been getting on!

I'm here in Colorado with my Host Family and they have been great so far. They are such a relaxed family and we've all been getting along fine. My host father has taken me to a college basketball game and it was just huge. They are also planning a holiday to Mexico in April/May sometime, so that is more than okay with me! The Children are so active but thats fine, I work about 3 hours in the morning and 4 hours around afternoon/evening. So I have a break in the day to myself, which will be handy when I start to study.
The town is small-ish and the closest AuPair is about a 15 min drive away, I have only been able to meet the AuPairs once, they are mostly from Brazil and the Cech Republic, but very nice eitherways! I've also become friends with the old American babysitter my host family had, so she's been showing me around.I've been very happy and settled in fairly easy and I've found I haven't been homesick that much at all.
Thank you so entirely for getting me here!

Kindest Regards    Gemma

There are a lot of things to get used to. The driving on the other side of the road wasUSA really weird initially, because I'm sitting in the same seat as I would if I was driving my Ka at home and no one indicates - ever - also you don't have to wait for a green light if you're turning right. There is always a breeze blowing in Kansas. A funnel cloud touched down in another part of Kansas today and we have been issued a severe weather warning for tonight - big thunderstorm is coming apparently (has been coming for the last two days as well...). I heard my first real redneck accent today. Taught Dr Gill what a ute is - you wouldn't think that would have been a major cultural barrier. Also ate catfish today, not bad but give me battered snapper anyday. Thanks a zillion for this opportunity.

Hello, its Nicole here, one of the au pairs living in Chicago. Firstly i wanted to say thank you so much for everything, it was the best thing i ever did coming over here, i love it and i have had such a wonderful time so far, with many more exciting things to look forward to.

Hi Sybil,
How are you? It is Natalie here. I want to thankyou for all the work that you did for meUSA to get me here to America. I am really enjoying my time here. I have met many people also Au Pairs in the area, not just from Go AuPair but also from other agencies. My family is really wonderful and treat just like I am part of their family. My host mum's parents and grandparents also treat me as one of the family and invite me out to dinner on a regular basis. The town that I live in is really cute.
It is a small town and already people recognise me.
Thankyou again for all your help and organisation.

Regards Natalie   USA.

I have a great host family that i get along with extremely well they made me welcome and i feel like part of the family now that i've settled.
I've also made some great friends with the other au pairs in the area and we have been exploring Washington DC and the surrounding area, as well as many shopping centers.

Hi Sybil, just thought I'd send you a quick update and let you know I'm still in the USA and USAenjoying myself. So much so that I've signed on for the second year/ visa extension program.

I am enjoying my time with the family. The family and I went to our first au pair/ host family gathering on the weekend to a water park in Pennsylvannia. It was a lot of fun. It was also nice to meet some other au pairs too.

I just wanted to let you know I am alive, ok and having a good time. Take care and keep smiling,

Charissa. In the USA.

I have just booked a trip to Santa Ana, CA to stay with a girl i met at the new yorker hotel, lilly from brazil i will stay with her for one week in the summer. This experience has been wonderful so far and i still have 7 months left before i return back home to Australia.
